A New Deal for Diop?

Lee Clark will have to make the decision over the next few days about whether or not to extend the contract of former Fulham midfielder Papa Bouba Diop. The 34-year-old Senegalese midfielder signed a one month contract with Blues on October 19 and has yet to make an appearance for Blues although he has been an unused substitute.

Blunted by the Blades – Blues Development Squad lose to Sheffield United

Birmingham City’s Development Squad suffered a tough 2-1 defeat at the hands of their Sheffield United counterparts on a cold and blustery autumnal afternoon at Wast Hills. Goals from Danny Philliskirk and Terry Kennedy gave the young Blades the points with Papa Bouba Diop scoring Blues’ effort.

Hancox, Deaman and Diop

In amongst the takeover news that broke yesterday Blues also announced new contracts for two youngsters – Mitch Hancox and Jack Deaman. Both had previously only been on contracts until Christmas and the renewal of their deals sees them now stay with the club until the end of the 2012/3 season.
