With the end of the season nearing and with so many players out of contract I thought it would be a good idea to go through the squad and analyse who I think we should keep, who we can get away with selling and who needs to be released. This is the fourth of five installments of that analysis.
It was confirmed yesterday by Birmingham City that on-loan forward Leroy Lita has returned to Swansea City due to a thigh injury sustained whilst on loan. The Congolese-born forward made ten appearances for Blues, scoring three times whilst on loan at St Andrews.
It was a quiet week for Blues’ loanees with only one player getting any minutes on the pitch.
Only two of Blues loanees were in action this week as injury and the rain affected the amount of game-time available.
It was another mixed week for Blues loanees with two players making appearances for their respective teams whilst one suffers with injury.
It’s been a bit of a bittersweet weekend for Blues on-loan players with three players getting game time but results largely going against them.
It’s been a quiet week for Blues loanees with only Adam Rooney making an appearance out of the three players Blues have out on temporary transfer.
In the ten days since the last loan report I published on this site it’s not been a great period for the Birmingham City players out on temporary transfer. One win, one start and a lot of time warming the bench has been the sum total of the last week and half and one can only hope it will get better for them.
Whilst the first team took a battering at the hands of Barnsley there was more pleasing progression for some of the players out on loan with all the Blues players playing for other clubs getting minutes on the pitch again.
It was a better week all round for Birmingham City’s on loan players with all four either scoring or winning their games.
