Blues Through to Senior Cup Final
Birmingham City won through to a second successive Birmingham Senior Cup Final after beating Nuneaton Town 1-0 at the A1 Gas Force Stadium. Corey O’Keeffe scored the only goal of the game having robbed Boro left back Ciaran Keane of possession just outside the Boro area before slotting past keeper Zeus de la Paz.

Two Points Dropped – Wolves Reflections
Birmingham City failed to score for the fifth game in a row away from home as they were held to a goalless draw at Molineux. Clayton Donaldson, Jon Toral and David Davis all had chances to score in the second half but only David Davis was able to test Carl Ikeme who proved to be up to the challenge.

Hull Reflections
A deflected strike from Jon Toral was enough for Birmingham City to beat Hull 1-0 at St Andrew’s as Gary Rowett’s men reignited their playoff chase in front of the Sky cameras. Hull hit the post and the bar in the first half and had claims for a penalty in the second as they pushed hard for an equaliser.

Bolton Reflections – Winning Ugly
Birmingham City got the win they wanted against Bolton on Tuesday night thanks to Clayton Donaldson’s 29th minute winner – but they could and should have more against a Trotters side that looked devoid of hope.

Sheffield Wednesday Reflections
Two goals from Gary Hooper condemned Blues to their first league defeat of 2016 at a wet St Andrew’s. Blues had taken the lead when Clayton Donaldson made the most of a ricochet from Tom Lees’ clearance in first half injury time but they were undone by two goals in two minutes in the second half.

Moments of Brilliance – Ipswich reflections
Birmingham City won 3-0 for the second game in succession thanks to Will Buckley’s first goal for the club on his first start and two scorching goals from Jon Toral and Maikel Kieftenbeld. Ipswich were forced to play the entire second half a man down after Jonathan Douglas received a straight red card for a lunging challenge on Will Buckley.

Forest Reflections
Blues could only away with a point from the City Ground in what was a scrappy game. Jon Toral headed the visitors in front only for Matt Mills to equalise shortly after, heading home David Vaughan’s free kick.

Who’s next on the production line? Development Squad report
Birmingham City drew 2-2 in the Professional Development League 2 game with Bolton Wanderers this afternoon. Goals from Andy Shinnie and Emmanuel Mbende looked to have won it for the hosts but a late equaliser from Quade Taylor ensured the visitors took a share of the spoils.

Buzzing again – Brentford Match Reflections
Birmingham City completed their third successive win at home against Brentford thanks to a very late Maikel Kieftenbeld winner in a game that threatened to be overshadowed by Demarai Gray’s impending transfer out of B9.

A Christmas Cracker – MK Dons Reflections
Birmingham City returned to winning ways for the second game in succession at St Andrew’s against MK Dons. Jacques Maghoma scored his first goal at home in Blues colours to settle the game but in fairness the 1-0 scoreline flattered the visitors.
