Clayton Donaldson called up for Copa America

Jamaica coach Winfried Schafer has named Blues striker Clayton Donaldson in his provisional 40-man squad for the Copa America. The tournament, which is in it’s 100th year will be held for the first time outside South America with the hosts being the USA.

The Stevenage caretaker manager told the Hertfordshire Mercury that Storer has to “create a better professionalism in his life”.

Alex Jones Shows He’s The One for Rowett?

Alex Jones scored a first half hat-trick in Birmingham City u21’s 3-0 to give Gary Rowett a timely reminder that there is another youthful option within the ranks. The former West Brom forward was due to spend the second half of the season on loan in New Zealand but red tape ensured that loan didn’t happen and Jones returned to Blues.

Blues take young Cypriot on trial

Birmingham City are to take young Cypriot player Andreas Juliu on trial after the Cypriot FA allowed the Anorthosis Famagusta player to travel to England to take up trial invitations. The teenager will be trial at both Liverpool and Blues in hope of winning a contract.

Blues Sign Up Irish Teenager

Birmingham City have completed the signing of 16-year-old Irish youth international Joe Redmond. Redmond has been capped at u15 level by the Republic along with playing for league representative sides.

The Reece Brown Situation II

Brian Dick of the Birmingham Mail broke the news last night that Reece Brown has been suspended by Blues pending an internal investigation. The 20-year-old midfielder has made just two appearances for the Blues first team this season and has not featured in an u21 game since 22 February.

Blues Take Up Options to Further Consolidate Squad

Birmingham City have confirmed this week that they have taken up contract options on David Davis and Charlee Adams, keeping both at the club until the end of next season. Davis was man of the match on his return to the first team against former club Wolverhampton Wanderers while Charlee Adams made his league debut this season as a substitute in the 3-0 home win over Ipswich.
