The Carson Trial – Day 25
A shortened court session saw Jimmy So Chi Ming continue to give evidence in Carson’s trial on five counts of money laundering which has now entered its 25th day.
Oriental Daily reports that Mr So refuted the prosecution’s estimates that Carson earned HK$190,000 in a year via his Kingston Securities account, estimating that the figure was closer to HK$10million.
Mr So went on to confirm that Carson’s father’s account with Kingston was less active than Carson’s, but insisted that the figures were way off. Mr So also confirmed that he had been punished by the regulatory authorities twice in 1999.
It’s also been confirmed the next witness is coming to HK from overseas but there is no confirmation who it is.
The court case continues on Monday, June 24 at 10am (3am BST)

Any idea on how long the trial will continue? and what happens if Carson is found guilty?
Hi Joe
As I’ve said for a while now in previous articles, my estimate for a verdict based on what I was told by high ranking legal sources in HK is October.
If Carson gets found guilty he will fail the owners and directors test and he’ll be forced off the BCFC board and the BIH board at minimum; I suspect the league will pressure him to sell it ASAP too
So isn’t this guy admitting then that carson did indeed have an income going into his account ? and didn’t carson declare he had no income. Sorry I only read bits of this trial stuff as its becoming tedious .Good reporting on op just slower than a centre half playing minor football in Canada.
Doomed….so funny….
