Often Partisan

Over a Million Served

I’m pleased to announce that Often Partisan has passed one million total pageviews since the site was opened just over thirteen months ago.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who read the site for your support, your comments and your time. I feel quite humbled at times by some of the nice things that are said and I hope that you will continue to read Often Partisan in the future.

    Great site. Well done!

  • Richard M says:

As someone who used to print and publish a fanzine I know how much time and effort goes into this thing, usually for bugger all money and the odd bit of grief from fans / the club / the press – so full marks to Alamajir forthese well written and informative website, which I think HAS made a difference at a time when the club needed it.

  • Neil says:

You deserve more than a million views as many blues fans are saying this is the best source of information out there so a massive thank you for all your time and effort you put into this site..! Everyone really appreciate it

  • Congratulations, well deserved!

Alamajir, you are the fist site I visit whenever I have been away from the net for a short while. Your informative and balanced posts are a joy to read and helps ensure that the replies are in a similar vein from our group of posters. Many, many thanks for your tireless efforts.

Excellent , well done , always trying to shine a light on the issues that are of of the greatest concern , but often have smallest media exposure.

  • Blue Steve says:

Its a great blog. I’m sure that in 13 months time there will be a million more views! KRO.

  • DoctorD says:

Congratulations mate. You have to wonder how any of us coped pre-OP. This blog has kept me perpetually interested and informed, and it’s been amazing that you’ve managed to keep it updated so regularly. I for one know it has increased my attachment to the club, especially through the pre- and post-match analysis for those who can’t make it to games. And I think it has directly benefited the club because it’s meant I’ve also spent more time on the Blues website – so much so that I’ve ended up spending 30 quid an two sets of kids’ Blues pyjamas in the last two months.

  • Letsby Avenue says:

    :-)

    Well done mate.

Congratulations, Almajir! OP stories are always the first I click on at the menu on newsnow, because I know I will get well researched and very reliable information there. Birmingham Mail is also good, but OP often gives the reader something unexpected.
    Keep right on, mate!

Phenomenal stats but it shows good journalism and hitting the issues that readers want wil get support from the public.
Great job, great site and as a Bluenose of 35 years (and a freelancer myself) my first port if call for all things Blue.
Congratulations and; Birmingham Mail take note, this is proper journalism.
    KRO

    • DoctorD says:

      @ the urban guerllia:

As I’m sure you know, being a freelance journalist yourself, the problem for the Birmingham Mail (and all conventional media outlets) is that almajir is doing this for free — they have to pay staff to write stuff and can’t rely on unpaid volunteers.

Also if they had someone as good as Almajir on their paper, they’d have to find someone equally talented to cover Viler, the Baggies etc in order not to give the impression they’re given disproportional coverage to the Blues.

Unfortunately, finding someone as good as Almajir is nigh on impossible. And frankly, looking at the intellect of your average Viler fan, it ain’t ever going to happen ha ha.

      • almajir says:

I do actually do some work for the mail…

      • Bluenosejohn says:

Needs to be pictures for our friends from Witton. Reading is going to be a long evolutionary trail for them and writing will never happen. As Shakespeare said SOTV.

  • Newbold says:

Thanks for keeping us up dated with balanced views mate.
Keep it up, its very much appreciated.

  • RichardW says:

    Simply the best. Well done.

  • Stevie Blue says:

Everything’s already been said but her we go again…interesting, informative, impartial and thought provoking. An excellent site. Long may it continue in 2012-13 and beyond!!!!!

  • Atahualpa is a BlueNose says:

When you’re burning the midnight oil researching various topics and issues, it may appear at times, that it’s a task without end.

But as all readers have said, keep writing because we intend to keep reading.

Without a doubt the number 1 site for Bluenoses to keep up to date about their club.

    Congratulations to a true blue.

NB Don’t think it will be another 13 months until the next million…

  • Matt Page says:

Very well done. My first point of call for all things BCFC.

    KRO.

  • Lichfield Blue says:

    Great read; always thought provoking.

Even my Baggies mates confess to having a read!!

  • viperblue says:

just add my congrats to the long list…well done

  • Paulo says:

Well done almajir, well done Often Partisan!
You’ve obviously created something very positive for the bluenoses and perhaps a little unexpected link between the club and ‘us’ as well.
..and the fact that it is ‘free’ for us to be kept up to date on such issues probably goes unmentioned aswell, so all in all ..cheers!
