Another trialist revealed

Blues are continuing looking at the best youngsters the non-league have to offer by taking on Ilkeston Town 17 year old Tyrell Waite on trial this week.

The highly rated teenager has been given permission to play in tomorrow’s reserve team friendly against Walsall along with training with the Blues every day this week, before returning to Ilkeston for their Saturday fixture against Loughborough Dynamo.

Also set to be given another run out is Leamington teenager Jacob Blyth who scored in last week’s run out against Southampton.

with thanks to Sheriff from the smallheathalliance.com forum who alerted me to this news.

Edit 17:30 24 January – Tyrell Waite played in the u17 friendly against Stoke, which Blues won 2-0.

    Thank you for the update,
What do you think of jean beau possibly leaving?

    • almajir says:

If Wigan offer him enough cash, he’s gone. If the deal is for as much as Nursey says (I don’t think it’ll be £4mil down, maybe with addons like if Wigan win the league etc), then it’s a good deal for Blues. Even £2.5mil down is a good deal really – provided we can bring in a replacement.

      • Blue Steve says:

Jean had a great start to the season but has not been at the races for a few months. Maybe it will not be a bad deal for the club (providing the price is right) Redmond or Fahey could fill in on the left. Particularly as Guirane maybe back in Brum quicker than we thought following Senegal’s opening game loss. KRO.

Another player going to a RELEGATED team !! LoL !!

  • Bluenosejohn says:

So he’s swapping 38 Premier League games with us next year for 16 this season….

  • Bluehobba says:

Makes you wonder if Beau goes then will Redmond get more of a look in. Will Chris Hughton get any of the fee to spend or will he go down the loan route. Ifs and buts i know but mainly comes down to how bad we are off financially.

  • oldburyblue says:

Sorry Beau…but U’ve gotta go!! There is something wrong when an International winger can be out-shone in a team by a free transfer (Burke) and a young kid (Redmond). Who knows, when he loses a couple of stones, he might be able to take a full-back on and beat him.

  • parkp says:

To be honest we wont miss Beau at all. If Blues get 2-3 mill from Wigan then its a good deal. Redmond, as young as he is and still learning, is a much better player.

  • DoctorD says:

Sad to see Beause leave, but his agents must be angling for their share of the transfer fee — why else would he swap us for a relegation dogfight, which is exactly what it will be at Wigan. It’s all about money these days which leaves me feeling a bit sick really. By the way with Southampton slipping up tonight, things are getting tasty at the top. Whatever happens, this season is turning out to be so much more interesting than last year.

  • Alex T says:

If JB goes, we WILL miss his 87% pass accuracy….. and most of them are forward passes too! How can people just write him off like that? Yes, £4m is a good price for him but that would be dependant on Wigan staying up…. which they wont. I dont think Redmond is ready to fill his boots yet because a. he is too young to play every game and, b.) he is better suited playing on the right.
I havent seen Valles since a friendy before the start of last season, so he is a bit of an unknown.
The only way this could be a good deal is if Hughton has a ready lined up replacement….

  • Blue Gj says:

I for 1 don’t want him 2 go, our squad is thread bare as it is, start of the season he was brilliant 4 us, so he’s hit a sticky patch, every player in the world goes through them, maybe he will leave because he’s fed up of some of our fickle fans who turn 2 quickly on there own players, players were supposed 2 support

  • PaulBaker says:

We already have a replacement for JB in David Murphy with Liam Ridgewell filling in at left back
