Referee Watch in Association with EZE Group – Darren Sheldrake
Barring any late changes, Darren Sheldrake of Surrey will be in the middle for Blues’ Championship game against Norwich City at Carrow Road today. Here is a look at his stats.
Season Performance
Mr Sheldrake has taken charge of four games this season, showing nine yellow cards and three reds. This is his first game in the Championship this season. Last season, he took charge of thirty-eight league games, showing one hundred and eighteen yellow cards and seven reds. Of those games, six were in the Championship and in those games he booked twenty-two players and sent off two.
Last Blues Game Refereed
The last game Mr Sheldrake took charge of involving Blues was last year’s Capital One Cup first round tie against Yeovil which Blues won on penalties. Mr Sheldrake booked six players that day – Jamie McAllister, Byron Webster and Dan Seaborne of Yeovil along with Jonathan Spector, Tom Adeyemi and Darren Ambrose of Blues. The game was more famous for Blues being allowed to score an equaliser after not being given the ball back when it was put out for Dan Burn’s injury but Mr Shedrake’s performance attracted no further comment from Mail reporter Gregg Evans in his match report.
Last Championship Game Refereed
The last game at this level Mr Sheldrake took charge of was another 3-3 draw back in March, this time between Watford and Blackburn Rovers. That game saw him book four players – Gabriele Angela of Watford along with Todd Kane, Matt Kilgallon and Corry Evans of Blackburn.
Suspension Watch
3 Yellow Cards: Paul Robinson
2 Yellow Cards: Wes Thomas
1 Yellow Card: Neal Eardley, David Davis, David Cotterill, Demarai Gray, David Edgar
The last date that five yellow cards will attract a suspension is December 31; for ten yellow cards it is April 12.

We’re gonna get smashed.
and Robbo to get another yellow within 5 minutes of play
Denied a cast-iron penalty after 19 minutes which would have put us 2-0 up. All those fans who say ‘decisions even out over a season’ are seriously deluded when it comes to Blues.
yep that’s a few now possibly game changing decisions imo……..
