About Me
Hi, my name is almajir and I am the owner and sole author of Often Partisan.
It’s a struggle to write pages like this without blowing your own trumpet, so you’ll have to forgive me if I sound a little egotistical on this page. It’s the only chance I get.
I started Often Partisan because I’m an opinionated chuffer, and it served me to write stuff about what I thought. As it’s grown, I’ve become more serious; barring a couple of notable examples I think the mainstream media doesn’t really treat Birmingham City with respect, and I thought it would be good if there was another perspective available. I’m also able to search the Chinese media for new stories regarding Birmingham City and it’s owners, and I’ve made it a core mission of this blog to have articles based on a media stream that is overly neglected by the English mass media.
I’m in my thirties, a season ticket holder at St Andrews and a lifelong fan of the Blues. I’m actively involved in the supporters forums, and am intently interested in the club as a whole, not just the results on the pitch.
My current favourite player is Chris Burke, I wear size 8 shoes and I used to play full back.

great blogs, I actually look forward to them. i’ve purposefully ignored the papers since this fiasco kicked off but have found that listening to what actual supporters are saying/thinking a million times more informative than whats within the back three pages of any national or local rag. Good work fella, keep it up.
All the best kid.
Dave.
Hi Almajir,
You have created an interesting site which gives a die hard Blues supporters perspective without the bias. I have been reading your articles for a while and look forward to your views and opinions everyday. I now live in the land of Oz & have been a fan of the Blues since the mid to late 1950′s.I grew up in Small Heath and attended games home and away for many years before emigrating in 74.
You have an excellent insight in to the club and some obvious inside contacts. I hope you are able to continue your web site for a long time to come.
Well done & KRO
As disappointing as relegation was I would rather Blues be in the second tier playing the brand of football
Hi Almajir,
Just found your excellent website today because of the B’Mail/Neil Moxley connection, and the link you kindly put in place. I found it well-focused and very informative and will put it into my ‘favourites’ daily list and tell my friends.
Thanks for your enthusiastic reporting,
Sincerely,
Tony Jones

I know very little about I/T or blogging . Background, first attended season 45/46
last attended 20 years ago. atmosphere crude, unpleasant., dis-satisfying and
expensive… .However constantly watched, for results and reports.
Best moment for years beiing invited by former employers, supporters of that other club.
to their home for league club final. all of you will instinctly understand the emotion of ” that
moment.” Some other comments. Chris Hughton must be the best manager this club has ever employed..In all my years I have never known a man who faced wirh a relegated side ,so depleated by loss of players and with owners who have become an embarresment
cajoled, connived guided and created a team . There cannot thave been many supporters
who in their hearts did not dsipare that further relegation might follow.
The achievment of this man what ever might follow in putting together a side whose
record to date in number of goals scored.is such that I have never experienced the record
of goals for an aggregate of plus 20. I fear I have gone on too long. Thanks for your time
